Hampton Court was so crazy tough. However, I did get a few ‘sir’s and a ‘young man’ and a ‘your son’ directed my way, which is always nice and keeps me cheerful on the absurdly long shifts. I figure I probably worked 40-45 hours in the four days, on like six hours’ sleep a night (which may sound just fine to most, but I am an infant and usually require 10-12 a night). So it was hard work but good and I’m glad it’s done and dusted. Now in Norfolk with Stevie, hoping to get a few weeks’ work at the hotel she works at before heading back to Mom’s with her for the last couple of months of summer. I got my grades and I’m so happy. I don’t wanna be that person that’s like “I GOT A [blah] EVERYONE!”, but I’m really happy and relieved. We made it to Pride but only for a little while as neither of us had another early morning in us to get there in time for the march, which is a shame but I’m glad I got that lie in and some time with my family before scurrying off again. Some downsides of Saturday were that I accidentally spent almost sixty quid on a pair of black jeans (oh my Joss American Apparel I understand you’re not a sweat shop so you’re not gonna be dirt cheap but HOLY HELL), and I also accidentally stepped on two snail friends walking back to Stevie’s in the dark :( which made me cry a little, especially ‘cause I’ve been hanging out with so many snail friends at Hampton Court all week, watching them climb around on the plants while I eat my lunch etc. I felt like an awful monster. Sigh. RIP two snail friends. Also, Dr Seal still hasn’t got back to me (it’s been about two weeks), so I might give him a call today. Other than these sads, everything is swell and I’m so glad to be back in Stevie’s lovin’ arms :) okay, I don’t even know what this post is, I’m just rambling now. I hope everybody’s summer’s got off to a swell start :)
